To-days American Miniature Horses is a horse for all ages. Are you a child, young, middleaged, senior or even in your  70th’s, it doesn’t matter. An American Miniature Horse is a small, elegant horse, not a pony. It has for many years been bred downfrom different races of horses, among which is The Arabs.

The ideal is the beautiful arabian look, combined with a friendly and sociable temper. The size must be under 34 inches (approximately 86 cm) Newborn foals are usualy about 20 inches (50 cm) It comes in a lot of different -  and beautiful colors, even multi-colored.

With this little charmer you will get the pleasure of a lovely friendship. Enjoy exhibitions, agility, jumping, breeding, toddler-riding and even driving. You can meet new people to share your interest with. The Minies does not eat much, so if you have a defunct farm, it is obvious to acquire such small friends. It is best to have a least two, as horses prefer to live in groups.

How to get started…

If you decide to enrich your life with American Miniature Horses, we recommend you to become a member of American Miniature Horse Association, called AMHA – www.amha.org . They have among other things a unique members’ magazine of at least 200 pages in size A4 with a lot of pictures send to your door 6 times a year. Take also a look at our link-section  Here you will find other miniature horse-assoations. Although they don’t have the excellent magazine, that AMHA has, they are quite useful in a lot af situations.

Last, but not least…

Good quality may first hit you, where it hurts financially, but bad quality can hurt for the rest of your life !!!
